Incidents
Acknowledge and resolve an incident
Acknowledge an open incident to record who owns the response, then use the timeline to verify when the probe fleet confirms recovery.
Acknowledge an incident
- Open Incidents from the dashboard.
- Select an incident whose status is Open.
- Review the confidence and timeline, then select Acknowledge.
GetPulseCheck records the authenticated user as the acknowledger and stores the acknowledgement timestamp. In the escalation flow, acknowledgement tells the responder workflow that the incident is owned and stops repeat escalation attempts.
Verify ownership in the timeline
- Confirm the status changes to Acknowledged.
- Confirm the timeline names the responder and shows the acknowledgement time.
- Continue investigating the monitor. Acknowledgement records ownership; it does not confirm that the service has recovered.
An incident cannot be acknowledged a second time, and an already resolved incident cannot be acknowledged. Both cases return a validation error.
Track automatic resolution
There is no manual Resolve action in the current dashboard. When correlated probe results return to an up state, the probe workflow changes the incident to resolved and records the recovery time. The detail page keeps the acknowledgement event and calculates the total incident duration.
