Validate SSL certificates with an HTTP monitor

Keep certificate validation enabled when you want an HTTPS check to validate the certificate as part of the request.

Enable SSL validation

  1. Create or edit an HTTP/HTTPS monitor.
  2. In the HTTP configuration, leave sslValidation enabled when the target uses HTTPS and its certificate should be checked.
  3. Save the monitor and review the result after the next check.

Understand the scope

SSL validation is a setting on an HTTP/HTTPS monitor. It is not a separate monitor type. This guide covers the shipped request-time validation option.
