Incidents
Share an incident with stakeholders
Generate a read-only link when someone outside your GetPulseCheck workspace needs to follow the incident timeline and regional confirmation.
Create and copy a public link
- Open Incidents and select the incident you want to share.
- Select Share on the incident detail page. GetPulseCheck generates a link or reuses the existing active link for that incident.
- Review the expiration shown in the dialog, then select the copy control and send the link through your approved stakeholder channel.
Know what the link provides
- The default lifetime for a new link is
7 days. The dialog shows the expiration date; when an active link is reused, its existing expiration is authoritative. - Anyone with the link can view the incident without an account. The public page is read-only and does not expose acknowledgement or other edit controls.
- The creation flow reuses an active link instead of creating a duplicate. Expired links no longer provide access.
Treat the link as access
The link itself grants access to the shared incident view. Send it only to the intended audience, avoid putting it in public tickets or chat rooms, and regenerate your communication plan when the link expires. The current dialog does not provide password protection, revocation, or a custom expiry control.
If the link is unknown, the public endpoint returns not found. If it has expired, it returns an expired-link response rather than the incident data.
